The Verdict On Bush (and Michael Moore Critique)

I saw it today (Friday the 9th) and I have to say, I'm surprised (pleasantly)-It's better than 'Bowling for Columbine', which I thought would be hard to top.

Bush doesn't come off as a bad person, but just as someone who is inept at their job. Incompetent would be a better word actually. But when your job is President of the World's (seemingly) most powerful country, it's a bit dodgy.

The film is also very powerful. whilst Moore's commentary is funny early on, he ditches the comedy (although Bush's dimness proves more comic relief) to take a more sombre tone for the stages about the Iraq war, where we are shown some pretty horrific, disturbing and effecting images (a Napalmed baby for instance)

So, if you're unfazed by real-World violence, or just want to see a Senator singing a song written by himself (very cringorthy) or are a fan of Moore, or documentaries, go and see this movie. It's a quality watch.

Yes I didn enjoy the film, it was made well. Althoug, Most of the information presented was already dished out on 911: The Road To Tyranny by Alex Jones, It quite litrally seems that Mike took Alex jones hard work and Re-Wrote it. Hey but if it wakes up people, then I guess it isn't so bad.

No, seriously, where would one go to get a job like that. The Empire website has stuff on Work Experience, should I try there? Or take Journalism at College/Uni?

The best place to start is your local, very small newspaper. The one that has advertisements from local businesses and a couple of "stories" about local businesses. Basically the opposite of what Woodard and Bernstein would report about.

You probably don't get paid but you would get your writing in print. Then it's up to you send your samples to bigger newspapers.
